Wow, so many emails + events going on relating to creating + manifesting what you want in 2017!
How was your 2016? Bring everything you wanted into fruition?
If you’re not feeling awesome about how your last year turned out, you are not alone. 2016 might have been a bit disappointing for many of us. It was a 9 year in numerology which is all about letting go and wrapping up loose ends to finish things so that you’re ready for your 1 year. 2017 rings in the beginning of a 1 year, full of starting new things, innovating, and breaking out on your own to be your own kind of success. A big part of creating a successful 2017 is knowing where you are going, what you want, and what you need to do to get there.
Lately I’ve seen many offers for a vision board process that can help you get clear. Vision boards can be great at helping you get clear on what you want to create. But if you are like me, you’ve created a vision board and only a few things actually came about (if any), falling short of your intentions + expectations. Which can feel rather disappointing considering all the work hours you put into them, yes?
Why? Vision boards will only take you so far in the manifesting process. Even if you are clear on what you want to create in your business, your life, and your relationships, there are several components you need in this recipe to create the success you’re after.
Creating or manifesting something is actually made up of 3 things: thoughts, feelings + actions.
Your thoughts are how you think about what you want to do/create: is this a doable plan for me? Can I stay focused? Is it simple? Do these things inspire me? By answering these few questions, you can gauge your ability to make these things happen.
How you feel about what you want to create also has a heavy hand in manifesting what you really want. Do the actions you have planned feel good, right, doable? If not, then it’s back to the drawing board, so to speak. If they don’t feel right and good down to your soul, then you are going to struggle to make them happen.
Now, what actions do you take to get there? My answer to that is simple: what are you feeling pulled to do? What is popping up in your head when you think of sharing your gifts with your tribe? When are you feeling pushed or pressured to do something in particular? That is a sign something is not right: it could be your timing, your tactic, or your intention. Step back, and re-evaluate before you put what you are creating out there.
So, what are you missing? And, why isn’t it working?
You crave manifesting all this amazing stuff in your business + life, right? So what’s holding you up? If you’re not feeling the vision board process, I have something else that might work for you: a more intuitive approach.
First, trust that you are already wired to be successful. It’s inside of you already even though you might not be aware of it yourself. It is an essential first step in creating what you want. By knowing who you are, how you work, and what you are here to do, you have the unique ability to make decisions that feel good, to see the opportunities in front of you, and create the business life you really want. This is the core, or soul, of who you are, and it is what influences everything that you create. Then, all you need bring your ideas to fruition is to have are these 3 things: clarity, a focused plan, and aligned action steps.
When you don’t know these 3 things, you will have a year full of distractions, missed opportunities, and bad decisions which often directly affect your flow of income, energy, and happiness (success).
First step: Is to get clear. If you don’t know what you want + where you are going, how are you going to know what actions to take or opportunities to accept?
A few questions to get you started: What is it that you really want to create in your business this year? In your life? What would make you happy?
Make a list.

Yep, The amount of happiness in your life + your business is a great barometer to see what’s working and what might need a few tweaks. So the question is: What are you happy with right now in your life + your business? What are you not?
The Story ~ When I was cruising the web researching an idea that popped into my head, I came across this blog by Marc + Angel hack life. Great stuff (so much that I joined their list, which rarely happens, BTW). Here they laid out “10 ways Happy people prioritize their to do list”, and I had to read it. Amazing stuff! I was surprised how many things I was doing, and yes, they were helping me create that happy buzz you get when something works from the inside out….and then I was reminded of a few things I forgot and have started putting them into practice since action is the last ingerdient into manifesting anything, especially happiness.
Boom! I could actually see + feel how the things I was doing felt more in alignment…and created more happiness for me in my daily work/life.
A win/win, I’d say.
So I thought I would spread the happiness….
Here are a few ideas:
Do 1 thing at a time with Full presence
Family + Friends are at the top
Focus on Importance, not Urgency
Things like that. Like I said, good stuff, huh? Take what resonates + sparks you up, and let go of the rest. This isn’t a have to” list, just ideas to bring your work/life more into alignment with who you are at your core.
You see, Happiness is the wonderful by product of doing things in alignment with your soul, or who you are on the inside. By doing what you are pulled (not pushed) to do, then great things can happen…thus the happiness factor.
So my question for you is: what are you doing in your business + life right now that feels happy…makes you feel happy doing it? Maybe you are getting great results, maybe not (that is a sign something else is out of alignment, but that is another chat). But what it all boils down to, is what is feeling really good right now?
Write it down, give it some love, and look back on it when you need a pick me up or a reminder of what makes you feel good + happy, because THAT is what will make creating your Soul-Based Business Cake. Yummy!

So, do you know your tribe? By that I mean your audience to whom your work transform’s their lives. It’s important to know who they are. And you can use this information to simplify and streamline your marketing.
Your tribe is who you think of when you create your offers, your content, and your marketing efforts. And it’s not just knowing their demographics – how old they are, how many children they have, if they are married. These things are only important if they are specific to your niche.
I still find it surprising when a client tells me they don’t know their audience.
Not knowing your audience or tribe and can make your marketing efforts feel chaotic and drain your time + energy…and get you hit or miss results in your campaigns.
So, how do you find out who you audience is?
First, look at who you are attracting with your current marketing efforts. Do you like them? Wish they were more______?
Then, who do you dream your client was like? Love your work? Pay you what your worth + on time?
Next, where do they hang out? Do they shop online? Do they not like going to stores? Do they love shoes? Who else talks to this audience? Who are they following + engaging?
All this goes into what we call your client avatar. Your avatar – your ideal client – is the one person you talk to when you are crafting your marketing content + offers. Because if you craft a message for this one person, it will resonate with others that are attracted to what you have to offer.
